Social Justice Program Coordination

SafetyNet’s Social Justice Program Coordination Working Group researches, promotes, and establishes partnerships with social justice organizations to help “at risk” individuals through increased citizen participation and support.

Areas of work include:

  • Increasing public awareness of local social justice programs.
  • Encouraging participation in these programs.
  • Facilitating volunteerism and support of these programs for those who want to take a proactive, hands-on approach to help the disadvantaged.
  • Working with the DC government and other organizations on ways to help formerly incarcerated individuals who lack a support network.
