SafetyNet’s Social Justice Program Coordination Working Group researches, promotes, and establishes partnerships with social justice organizations to help “at risk” individuals through increased citizen participation and support.
Areas of work include:
- Increasing public awareness of local social justice programs.
- Encouraging participation in these programs.
- Facilitating volunteerism and support of these programs for those who want to take a proactive, hands-on approach to help the disadvantaged.
- Working with the DC government and other organizations on ways to help formerly incarcerated individuals who lack a support network.
